Ready, Set, Hike!

Hola, fellow travelers. I’m going on the longest walk I’ve ever imagined and I hope you’ll join me, as I send a few pictures and stories about my experiences. I’m as prepared as I can be: a lifetime of trekking the way we all do, one foot in front of the other, and a year of practice hiking and walking in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Foothills with the goal of making my own Way to The Camino de Santiago in Spain. This ancient pilgrim path is also known as Camino Francés. Our Way officially begins in San Jean Pied de Port, France, treks over the Pyrenees and then to Roncesvalles, Spain and on to the path to Santiago. This is an adventure and I only know the starting and ending dates and even those are subject to change. Please reply and let me know how you are doing and comment on any photo or post. Buen Camino, mis amigos.
I’m flying out to the great beyond next week, but I still practice walking daily. Here are some photos of my local and nearby (by car) excursions. You may recognize many of the places, but they do look different on foot.
